Acceptable Use Policy
Effective Date: April 18, 2026 · Version 1.0
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") supplements the CVPRO Terms of Service and describes uses of the CVPRO platform that are prohibited.
1. Prohibited Content & Conduct
You may not use CVPRO to, or to help anyone else:
- violate any applicable law, including the Indian Penal Code, IT Act 2000, DPDP 2023, Equal Remuneration Act 1976, or comparable laws in any other jurisdiction;
- infringe the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights of any party;
- upload malware, worms, trojans, or any code intended to interfere with a computer system or network;
- attempt to bypass rate limits, scrape the Service beyond documented API quotas, or access accounts or data that are not your own;
- build a competing AI hiring product by training on CVPRO outputs, or by reverse-engineering the Service;
- resell or relicense the Service without a written channel or reseller agreement from CVPRO;
- upload data belonging to a candidate who has not provided informed consent, where such consent is required by law;
- use the Service in a manner that discriminates against candidates on the basis of religion, caste, sex, sexual orientation, place of birth, disability, or any other protected class under Indian or other applicable law;
- use CVPRO evaluation scores as the sole basis for adverse employment decisions without human review (AI decisions must be human-reviewable per DPDP §12 and our Terms of Service);
- test the Service against protected candidates to generate biased labels for third-party model training.
2. Fair Use & Rate Limits
- Pricing plans specify monthly evaluation quotas. Sustained traffic beyond the documented plan is considered abuse and may result in throttling.
- API access is gated at 60 requests/minute per API key unless a higher limit is contracted.
- Bulk candidate data uploads (>1,000 rows) should be coordinated with support@cvpro.in to avoid unexpected throttling.
3. Human-in-the-Loop Requirement
CVPRO delivers AI-assisted candidate scoring. Consistent with applicable Indian and EU non-discrimination law and DPDP §12 on automated decision-making, CVPRO scores must not be the sole basis for rejecting a candidate. A human recruiter must review the shortlist and the disqualification reasons before adverse action is communicated.
4. No-Training Commitment
CVPRO does not train its models on Customer Data by default. The Controller may enable an opt-in setting in /settings to contribute fully anonymised, aggregated signals to CVPRO model improvement. This setting is OFF by default and may be toggled at any time.
5. Reporting Abuse
To report suspected AUP violations (including fraudulent job postings, harassment through messages sent via CVPRO, or data misuse), email abuse@cvpro.in. We acknowledge reports within 1 business day and investigate within 5 business days.
6. Enforcement
CVPRO may, at its sole discretion, suspend or terminate accounts that violate this AUP, with or without prior notice depending on severity. For clear legal violations (e.g., discriminatory filtering) we may preserve relevant evidence and cooperate with lawful authority requests under the IT Act 2000.
7. Changes to this AUP
We may update this AUP with at least 15 days' notice posted at /acceptable-use and via in-product notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
